H-E-B Fall Beauty Picks

Though it's still over 90 degrees outside most days, it's safe to say that along with cooler temperatures, I'm craving a lot of other things fall brings--- like layering, coats, boots and bolder makeup looks.

I got to test out some of H-E-B's Fall Beauty Picks and I'm sharing with you the look I created. The products I was sent to try are:

After a long, hot and humid summer, hair rehab is a good idea. I applied this spray as the first product after I brushed out my freshly-washed and towel-dried hair. Then, I added my other usual styling products and blew it out as usual. I like that this protects and conditions my hair outside of the shower.
I used these metallic Revlon eye shadows to line my upper and lower lid- the lighter color for the lower lash line and the darker for the upper (the darker is called "Onyx," the lighter shade is "Gunmetal"). I used an angled eye shadow brush. I also added a black liner on my waterline and two coats of CoverGirl LashBlast mascara.
To complete this look, I used Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in a deep berry color. I always shy away from darker lips but I absolutely adored this shade. The best part is that if you rub it off, there's a great stain left so you can tone it up or down as you like. The color isn't as dark as it looks in the package---it leaves a beautiful berry stain that's perfect for fall after a summer of corals, nudes and pinks.
I also used L'oreal's Magic Lumi primer underneath my powder on my cheekbones and one line down my nose.  Unfortunately, Harper took the primer and hid it somewhere before I had the chance to take the product photos for this post, so I'm borrowing from this blog. I really hope I find it because it gives a nice glow to the skin.
One of my favorite things to do as fall begins is to start using deeper shades on my nails. OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark is a favorite of mine. I got to test out Sao Paulo Over There which is a pretty brown shade that reminds me of the way the leaves change color in the fall. I think it would complement a lot of skin tones.

    1. the darker is called "Onyx," the lighter shade is "Gunmetal" they're great! good pigment and easy to apply---and they have a little shimmer which adds a subtle sparkle.

  3. Aw love the eye colors you used esp for the lower lid. I feel like when I try to put eyeliner down there, it always starts to run/bleed and I end up having raccoon eyes. Will add this to our weekly grocery list to get at the HEB :)

    1. What I do is I apply benefit's eye bright to my lower lashline and blend it. Then, I apply the shadow using an angled eyeshadow brush. I find that the eye bright not only brightens the eye, but it also acts as a primer and base on the lower lashline. Try it! :)

  4. Those eye shadows are lovely. I can't wait to see the new colors incorporated to outfits.

BTW those earrings are very pretty: colorful and different. When I first came across your blog I initially thought you didn't wear any because sometimes they are hidden behind your hair. Are they light or heavy?
(I pass on many long earrings because I don't like heavy ones :p my husband laughs at me finding earrings "heavy")

    1. Hi Beatrix! These turquoise ones are on the heavier side (not too bad though) but the pink tassel ones I wore a few posts ago are much more lightweight :) You may want to try those instead as they are much easier to wear for long periods of time. I have been tucking my hair behind my ears more to show off all of the new earrings I've purchased recently. I love them!
