The White Pant

I don't recall the last time I owned white pants (I returned the ones I got at Zara a couple of months ago because of fit issues) so when a co-worker recommended GAP's modern boot pants to me, I jumped at the chance to buy them at 30% off when GAP was running a promo a few weeks ago.

A word of warning---these stretch like crazy as you wear them.  I got a size 4 Tall---they fit great at the waist/hips but the legs do get baggy throughout the day. I'm going to blast them in the dryer when I wash them and see what happens. I do love the fit overall though and they're a great alternative to black, navy and gray dress pants for summer office wear.

  4. I'm not sure if I can get enough courage to wear white pants to work... not for the bold factor but bc I am such a klutz and will inevitably get a stain on it.

BTW - loved your b-day video to Lulu! Can you do a post/vid on how you take care of him and his favorite treats/food/toys?

    Thanks!

  6. Every girl needs a pair, or two, of white pants :)
I wore the same color combo the other day. It's just so pretty and feminine.

  7. I love the bright neon pink sweater, that would look super cute paired with shorts too. I think I saw Fash Blvd. styled hers that way :) I love the white pants, I am always fearful to get them though because they can be see thru.

  10. I don't know what it is, but every pair of white pants I have ever owned stretch out like that throughout the day and I end up with saggy butt. But really, who wants to wear skin-tight white pants so that they'll fit ok by the end of the day? So frustrating. You look super cute, though.

  12. This is such a great look for summer! I did wonder how you would style them when I saw them in your haul video, this is such a great lok on you! I'm not brave enough to wear white pants or a white skirt. I need a push to where white as it is out of my comfort zone! x

  14. White bottoms are a summer staple for me. Last weekend I bought a white pencil skirt and white skinny jeans at Banana - on sale! Yay for me.

The jeans are to go with a navy embroidered top I bought at Anthro back in March, and the skirt is to go with my navy Jackie twinset from J. Crew and a Webster @ Target scarf. I'm sure I have other things the white bottoms will go with, those were just what I initially had in mind.

  15. I've been really impressed with the quality and styles of Gap clothing lately. Haven't tried any of their pants other than skinny jeans, so I'm looking forward to that!

This is a great, simple look you've got going on!

  16. Love the way you've styled these! I just bought this same pair of pants and have noticed the stretching, too. I think it means I will be washing them after each wear--probably necessary anyway with white pants!

  17. Love the white pants on you! I haven't had a pair of white pants for years. This year, I got a pair of white bermuda shorts from J. Crew factory and loving it. I grabbed the same linen tippi as yours. I totally understand why people are raving about this sweater. Loving it and contemplating on getting it in different colors with the sale.

  18. I got those pants in beige, size 4 (I'm normally 6), and I love how they fit on me, but I agree: they stretch a lot. I still considering to get them in white though.

Besides, I bought a pair of skinny jeans in white from AE. I love them. They are nice for summer

  19. I bought that exact same shirt today at J Crew on sale and was thinking about pairing with a pair of white pants I bought awhile ago but have only worn a few times. Great minds think a like I guess! I love the outfit, btw :)

  22. I love white pants for summer but cannot find any that are work appropriate. It has been difficult to find the right fit and lined as well. Your outfit is cute but seriously every time you post an outfit I get the urge to shop. Please stop! : )

  23. I love how white pants look on other people, but they aren't the best option for me - I feel they make my thighs look bigger than they already are! :(

  24. I've been looking for some white pants for a few months. They are so hard to find! Love what you did with this outfit!

  25. Very cute! However, I learned from being a veteran of retail sales (anthro & benetton) to not put anything with stretch into the dryer. The heat from the dryer will break down the stretchy fibers, so your pants will probably stretch out more and more quickly. Line dry or a smaller size is your best option!

  26. Hi need help, I have tippi linen sweater in hot pink.
Have you hand washed or put in the delicate cycle. OR only dry clean per instructions. Please advise with your linen tippi cleaning experience. Thanks!!!!!!!!!! -Amanda
