Neon Coral

I often think about what a complete 180 I've done with my style these last couple of years.  That feeling came full circle this past weekend when I accompanied my friend on a shopping trip where she too delved into the world of colors and brights.  She is me 2 years ago---lots of gray, black and navy (remember how practically every outfit I wore was black?)  We picked out lots of bright new items to add to her closet...and maybe I got a few things too...

When I saw my outfit photos today, it made me happy to see these bursts of color.  What used to feel like a total departure for me is now just part of my everyday style.  Sometimes, when I look into my closet, I'm still surprised to see all of these bright colors staring back at me.

I got this coral tweed No. 2 pencil skirt at J.Crew last weekend for $34.99.  Incredible, right!? I also got a purple one for the same price.  They are originally between $110-128, so that is a huge score. They are still pricier online so check your local store for better deals.

Yes, you have really brightened your wardrobe up! I love you in color! In fact, I love everyone in color. That's not to say that I don't love neutrals anymore because those will always work and feel classic. But color is just what we need to perk up the day.

I too have evolved since I started blogging. You girls always inspire me to try new things, while staying true to what I really love.

Oh, and I think pink, peach, and coral are amongst my new favorite colors. They look so good together!

It has, but unfortunately not for the better! I'm a stay at home wife these days so the incentive to get dressed and look put together is nearly nonexistent!

I have the same thoughts about my closet. I was once only drawn to blacks and grays then all of a sudden I found myself hanging up pinks, purples, and greens in my closet. The older I get, the more color I crave :-) awesome deals on those skirts!

LOVE this outfit and the bright colours. I'm so used to having so much colour in my wardrobe! I didn't any black clothes until about 2 years ago because my mom wouldn't let me buy black clothes because she fully believes that wearing bright colours makes you happy, and I totally agree. on rainy days I wear bright colours to make myself feel better :)

My style has definitely changed in just a few short months!
I was always tomboyish, loved my scuffed jeans and black closet.
I've changed my wardrobe up heaps and have added more colour to it which I couldn't be more happier about :-)
I still love my scuffed jeans though :P

My style has evolved quite a bit too. Though I'm still not a big colour fan (you totally rock the bright colours, Veronika), I have been delving a lot more into prints.

You are adorable! Love the colour blocking and especially the tweed skirt. I'm definitely with you on evolving style - I used to wear almost all black and white until I started dating my boyfriend (who is a big fan of colour) and my blog. Now I can't remember the last time I didn't include a colour or pattern into an outfit!

Hope you're having a great Monday!

Love how you paired the nude pump with the bright colors to balance everything out! I've been following your blog for awhile now and I have loved seeing the incorporation of color. I'm in the process of expanding my wardrobe into a more "adult" one and I love to come here for outfit inspirations! Have a great week :)

You are rocking those colors girl :)

I don't think I have ever worn a full black outfit once, because that makes me feel so boring.

I love this look on you! I've been trying to pull myself out of my black and navy comfort zone, especially since it's summer.

You look great in bright colours, glad you are wearing them now!
I've been trying to remix existing items more, instead of constantly shopping. That's been my style challenge.

I love the brighter colours you wear now. Neutrals and blacks have their place but colours are definitly more fun.

My own style has changed quite a bit in the last few years. I used to hate shorts and pants (I'm still more of a dress and skirt girl). But I've warmed up to them these days and finding ways to style them better. Though being over 7 months pregnant has its own challenges too :D

I was once the black, white, and gray girl as well and I've recently put some color into the mix but occassionally I like to revisit the old classic look too. Accessories are key to brightening up things for work, for me anyway. Great deals on those skirts!

This looks so great together - so bright and fun! And what a score on that pencil skirt! I'm so happy to see you in all the fun colors and combinations! Also, love the addition of the sparkly belt and that you kept it all grounded with your neutral shoes (loving those, btw)

I love that skirt! What a steal! I have been following your blog for a few years, and I love that you have added more and more gorgeous colors to your wardrobe.

My style has improved over the past few years, and I finally feel like I own most of the necessary basics to dress for just about any occasion....unfortunately (fashion wise) I work at a horse stable every day! haha

My style has evolved, without a doubt! I used to just go for what fit (sord of) and was clean. I wanted to look cute, but I didn't really think I could. Now, I love putting outfits together! I get compliments on my style, and some people at work told me they thought I was really into fashion, which would have been laughable if said 1-2 years ago. Style bloggers have definitely inspired me!

Blogging has totally opened me up to colour! I think my wardrobe has taken a turn for the better just in the last few months alone by adding colourful pieces (instead of the usual black or white) to my closet!
Love the colours in your outfit post today!

I've been eyeing this skirt and this post, pushed me to buy it. There is an additional 30% off sale items promo in-store only and I used my student discount, so I got it for $20. Yayy! Thanks for sharing :)

Loving all of your outfits lately, especially this one! I can't believe I'm going to say this, but it actually makes me miss having to dress up to go to the office! Haha:)
