50 Shades of Purple

Though I never quite had an affinity for Barney, the big purple dinosaur, it certainly didn't keep me from wearing head to toe lilac, with a few touches of gold, for balance, of course.

Why, not, I thought?  This outfit actually kind of reminds me of our sofa pillows!

Shirt- Talula Boyfriend Shirt (Aritzia)
Skirt- J.Crew No. 2 Pencil Skirt
Belt- J.Crew Outlet
Necklace- Aldo Accessories
Shoes- Ivanka Trump

(the pillows I mentioned above)

Do you tend to mix colors from the same color family together? I think it can be a fun alternative to contrasting colors.

I love this look! I just bought that J Crew skirt last week and really wish I would have bought the green color too since they are double the price online :-/ I really like the necklace too.

I love your pencil skirts! You look so beautiful and polished with them! Finally bought one myself today in a bright turquoise blueish colour form primark for 11 €uro. I picked up a size bigger than my usual and it works really well. So feminine and slighty sexy. What did you get at Chanel? Just curious.;o) Have a nice weekend.

I.die. Purple is my all time favorite-as in, I could probably wear purple for 2 weeks straight without having to repeat anything. I really want to try the monochromatic thing, but it's going to take some study time in my closet.

I've been seeing the monochrome look all over the place - it looks so chic! The only thing I would have done differently is maybe tie the belt around itself a little more so it didn't hang so low! Otherwise, gorgeous as always!

I think monochromatic color head to toe is so flattering! I really like it. I like taking one color and then wearing varying degrees of it too. I do that a lot with corals and blues!

I bet this would look cute with a little pink mixed into the monochrome purple. Great outfit and perfect for the season!
