In other news, I think I finally figured out why my photos weren't working---it was the chandelier light. I shot today with hardly any light and the photos turned out way better than when I turn on my chandelier. Noted.
I dressed more casually today but kept it simple---a black cotton dress paired with a blazer.

Looks cute and very comfy!
ReplyDeletethank you rachel :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I will never tire of black and cognac together. It looks very sharp and clean! TGIAF(thank God it's almost Friday)Veronika!
ReplyDeleteLove the blazer. Is it a boyfriend blazer or more of a suit blazer?
ReplyDeletenoelle---YES! Happy (almost) Friday to us all!
ReplyDelete@breeza--- it's kind of in between---I got it to be very fitted but it's a softer material than most suit jackets.
ReplyDeleteveronika what style dress is that from target?
ReplyDeleteI think you may be right about your chandelier light. Also, do you have like an autofocus setting on your remote? it seems the picture of the closeup is much more focused than the other ones. You look great though I love the outfit!

ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteKardon it's from last summer
ReplyDeleteNo offense, but you need to lay off the black tights already. In fact the black altogether. Brown pants or something besides black and pink.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is way more office like & classy compared to what you wore before. The outfits are all cute but this says professional, especially if you had pumps with it. I love your blog so much !
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! I like how you added some interested to the black-on-black with the tan boots and gold necklace :)

@anon---I think black is a classic staple in any wardrobe :) to each their own!
ReplyDeleteI love the black outfit paired with cognac boots - perfect!
ReplyDeleteI think you're missing Anon's point... Yes, black IS a classic staple, but you still wear a TON of a black all the time. You've gotten better, but its still black, black & more black with an occasional color thrown in.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! Love that you aren't part of the no brown and black together club.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the punch from the cognac boots!
ReplyDeleteBlack and brown is a total match in this outfit!
ReplyDeleteWow, Anonymous, did someone tinkle in your cereal? I love those boots! I think they'd look adorable paired with skinny jeans and maybe a loose, flowy top also!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you saw my other comment because I wasn't signed in, but those boots are absolutely adorable and look great with leggings. Anonymous is a Rudey McRudester, lol! I think they'd look great with skinny jeans and loose, flowy top as well!
ReplyDeleteciera---I don't mind constructive feedback, but I didn't even understand what anon is saying...to stop wearing black and tights, ever? It's too cold!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteDo others in your office dress as nicely as you do? I would love it if people dressed up more, it would make me put in the effort as well.
ReplyDelete@anon---the girls in my office do dress very nicely :) I consider this outfit more casual but typically I dress up more during the week.
ReplyDeleteI tend to dress for my day---if I have a lot of meetings I'll be more conservative.
Guess what, black will ALWAYS be the new black. It's classic and always in style. Up here in the NYC area it's a standard almost to a fault (I try to mix it up a little to get out of a black rut) but that doesn't mean it doesn't always look good. Plus black is a great canvas for layering accessories and other notes of color like you've done with the gold chains and brown boots. I think it's adorable. Hey, it's your party and you can wear black if you want to! :)
ReplyDeleteDevon---thanks for your feedback. Since I don't post outfits every single day, it may seem like I wear black all the time. I love color and look forward to wearing more color as spring and summer come along, but black is classic and easy for days when you want to look nice and don't want to think about it too much.
ReplyDeletethis outfit is so nice on you :) very smart but also comfy at the same time! xxx
ReplyDeleteso simple, yet so chic!!! love it!
