OOTD: The Textured Hem

Happy MONDAY everyone!  I am feeling incredible right now because I just had the BEST workout. I took one of my trainer's classes and let me tell you, I was sweating like I've never sweat before.  It feels amazing to start my week with a massive sweat and muscle burning session.

I was also thrilled to start my week with this gorgeous black dress I got at Marshall's this weekend. It's by the brand Taylor which is sold at Nordstrom and other stores. It was originally over $100 and I got it for $49.99. Score. It's just such an incredible dress---and yes, it's black, but I just had to get it because it's so different from anything I own with the pretty texture on the hem---it's simple, yet makes a statement.

Let's take a look:

Dress- Taylor brand, Marshall's
Shoes- Jessica Simpson
Cardigan-  Express
Bag- Tory Burch

Thank you, as always, for being such amazing, sweet and supportive readers! I'm lucky to have you all.  Also---did you start off your Monday with an awesome workout? Tell me in the comments below!

xoxo,

Veronika.

  7. I love that dress!

My hubbie and I are considering getting a trainer -- just once a week -- and splitting the session due to cost. How you do think sharing a session would work out?

  8. Love the combination of black dress and nude heels - it looks so fresh!

I managed to drag myself to the gym today...but I counteracted that by just eating a Cadbury Crunchie bar (it was worth it LOL!)...I have to get my act together before swimsuit season!

  10. Oh wow, I remember seeing a girl at a pageant wearing a very similar dress to that a few years ago and thinking it was absolutely stunning! This looks just like it...and it fits you so well! I love the classic style :) You certainly have beautiful taste! <3

@traci---those sounds like fun classes! I love fusion classes that mix different workouts.

@anna---I love watching pageants on TV. I confess!

@ella---think of the cadbury bar as a reward for your hard work :)

  12. I love that dress! I know people sometimes say you wear too much black but I think black and jewel tones look good with your coloring not to mention you never look washed out when you wear them- stick with what works!

I have started a new workout and my husband is my "trainer" and last night was our first night- it went great and I am really feeling it today!

  13. Love the new dress! Do you mind mentioning what class the gym is at? I live in Houston and I need some workout motivation to get the 10 lbs I've gained since getting married last year OFF!

  15. @i try stuff on---each trainer charges differently but I always work out with my coworker and sometimes one other person and find the group format to be great because we all have similar goals. I sometimes work out one on one with my trainer, but 90% of the time it's 2 or 3 people at once and I like that.

  19. Oh and I didn't know if I should tell you on your formspring page or here, but just wanted to tell you that the La Roche Posay Effaclar face wash that you recommended in your skincare post is now my total HG product! I have oily acne prone skin and I haven't had a breakout in months! My skin is honestly better than ever! Thank you for introducing the line to my life! I bow to you! :P

  20. To answer your question I had to stop and think what today was hahaha

I had a FANTASTIC run yesterday (which I figured out was Monday) fueled by a breakfast of peepsters. I know that is just so healthy right?

I found you at Love, Lipstick, and Pearls and am now following!

  22. Love the dress! Even though it's more black, it's such a cute dress! What a great find. I know it's Tuesday and a little late, but yes I did have a great workout last night after work. I usually try to keep my workout routine to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Question: I have the same Michael Kors watch as you, but lately have been having issues with the links getting all kinked up and stuck. Do you have this same problem too?

  26. I've already worked out 3 times this week, so just got to get in 2 more on Fri and Sat. It's hard because I have family visiting and they are go-go-go from morning until night! But I'm determined to stay on track, even if they are here. Fingers crossed I can stick to it while they are here... it's hard when they want to sight see allllll the time! We'll see though!

  27. I love this dress! You have FANTASTIC legs too so that doesn't hurt! Thanks for posting. I love your outfit posts!
