Today I wore a new dress today that I got at Palais Royal. I honestly hadn't shopped there before last week. I was at the Beauty Bar event with Napoleon Perdis and decided to check out the clothes once I had finished my interview. I was surprised to find this cute black dress on sale for $39.99. I also got an additional 30% off of that price so it came to $30.02. It originally retailed for $74. It feels and fits great. I am really happy with it!
Dress- Palais Royal
Shoes- Jessica Simpson
Belt- Tory Burch
Sweater- White House Black Market

Very cute dress!!!
SUPER cute dress! Yes, I will stop in a store that I "swore off", and find that the store's style evolved or they started carrying a lot different stuff. I like to give stores a second chance, but I always wait a while. Once I am disappointed with the selection of quality, it takes quite a while before I willing to stop back in the store and give it a chance. Good buy! : )
Love the dress!
i just did a post about that! i found the cutest military inspired jacket from jcpenney. i never shop there for clothes!!

That is a great dress, and I like that you paired it with a brown belt.
great outfit! I'm totally one of those people that likes black & brown together or blue & black together. Anything by tory burch is fabulous in my book. well, almost anything.
ga peach- i also mix black and brown and black and navy. Rules are made to break ;)
gorgeous belt! i love mixing black with hints of brown
Lulu! So cute :)
I love that dress! How in the world did you get your dog to pose in that photo?
carolina- lulu is a ham! he knows how to pose for pics :) he's so cute!
Lulu's stealing your spotlight! :) What a cutie!
Cancer patients/survivors are simply amazing. Their strength and spirit are incredible, makes me appreciate life everyday I go to work.
That dress is wonderful, and it looks great with that belt!
I recently went into the Steinmart in my new hometown after swearing it off years ago...and was VERY pleasantly surprised. Didn't buy anything, but will definitely stop by again.
I wrote off JcPenney for a long time but I recently went back because someone recommended it for professional clothes. I used to think the stuff they carried was very "old" but lately I've found tons of cute work clothes for late 20/early 30 year olds.
What an interesting dress Veronika...I love it! The belt really adds a nice touch too :)

I particularly LOVE Lulu as an accesory! He's adorable! Aren't dogs the greatest, I have two and can't imagine life without them.
BTW LOVE LOVE LOVE the belt.
& helping kids with cancer and opening a charity for them is one of my passions and dreams and hopefully I can start the ball rolling with that soon!
I love brown belts on so many things, esp black. Looking forward to your inspirational post :-)
I love the new dress; the belt looks great with it too!!
That is such a great dress!
I really like the way you mixed black and brown together! Very chic dress! I feel like although there aren't many stores I swore to never shop at, there're many new looks I never would have given the chance, but have decided to (case in point: the romper I rocked last night!)
Cute dress, I love that belt!
Lulu is getting so big!
love this outfit! black/tan are my fave combos to wear. it always looks chic and can be worn year round
That dress is super cute...maybe I should give Palais Royal another try. The last time I shopped there was at the re-opening of the Westheimer @ Wilcrest location after their facelift 15-ish years ago.
I actually used to completely abhor White House Black Market. My aunts and all their 50+ friends shopped there for their neat black pants and cardigans and I thought gross, no panache. Then I saw a silk hibiscus print halter through the window one day and I was hooked. Proud black book member since 2006.
