Blogging: Our Honeymoon

My lovely readers...I apologize for my lack of posting, but I had an amazing time on our honeymoon/at my friend's gorgeous wedding so I'll make this post sort of a fun, lighthearted vacation wrap-up post.

Before I start, I'll share our finally blogged wedding with my fellow wedding-obsessed readers. Our amazing photographer Craig, at Studio 563 blogged our wedding here. You can also view his entry about our wedding being published here. Seeing those photos just brings back all of those
lovey-dovey wedding day feelings. Sigh. It was awesome to come back home and see this.

Speaking of weddings, my gorgeous friend Heather married the love of her life Matt on the beach at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana. She was stunning, and the wedding was absolutely incredible, beautiful and most of all FUN. They built a dance floor on the beach that was slightly elevated and we danced the night away (which IMO is the most fun a wedding can get- eat, drink and be merry...and dance all night!)

Here are a few shots of the stunning bride and her groom. Congratulations you two, love you guys! (They are on their honeymoon in St. Bart's and probably won't see this for awhile...but, here we go!)

And here's what I wore to the wedding: (Dress- Lulu's, Belt- Club Monaco)

Most of our vacation was spent laying on the beach and by the pool. I got a decent tan, but not nearly as dark as I used to get. I am so paranoid about skin cancer and wrinkles, that I wore an SPF 70 on my face the entire time and SPF 70 on my body for the first few days (I later switched to SPF 30 on the body.) Better safe than sorry, right? I did manage to burn my chest area on the very last day, but otherwise I am OK.

Here are some pics of the pool area: (so pretty)

The pool basically ran down the entire length of the resort. I laid-out on that ledge a lot reading on a pool chair: (That's Emily Giffin's "Love the One You're With" novel, which was really good.)

Here are a few beach shots:

I like to call this hair "wind-blown chic" LOL!

And some evening shots:

My awesome low-back VIX dress:

We had a wonderful time. The resort was beautiful. The customer service was a little off, but overall we had an incredible time!

Thank you so much for reading and there is a lot more to come now that I'm back to regular blogging...I've got some great "Motivation Monday's" posts coming up and some hauls and product reviews.

So, tell me- what did I miss last week in the blogosphere? I am working on catching up!

xoxo,

Veronika.

  3. Hey, you wore your hair pulled back! lol Didn't you say you didn't like to do that? (Wow, I say that in my most non-stalkerish voice. lol) It looks cute!!

  4. Megs- I have to admit that I dreaded it, but in the end it was alright and it was actually a good thing for me. It actually made me feel more confident like I don't "need" to wear my hair down all of the time. I still prefer to wear it down but having it up all week definitely made me more comfortable!

  10. Looks like an amazing time Veronika! You look so pretty and can totally pull off the 'wind-swept' look! Haha. The bride looked beautiful and I love the pink bridesmaid dresses. I have always heard the best things about destination weddings. Glad you had a good time, and by the way, I love your blog and awarded you with some blog love on my blog a couple of days ago!

  11. Oh wow, that weather looks so amazing, it is just teasing me as I'm curled up with hot chocolate and a blanket. It reminds me of my days of growing up in Florida and being in my bikini 65% of the year.
You look great and fab as usual, and I love that you include hubs in your pictures.

  13. Looks like a wonderful trip! The wedding was beautiful, best wishes to your friends! The pictures of the pool, with the palm trees and resort in the background, had me wishing for a fruity beverage! :) Thanks for sharing your photos. Oh, and I mean this in the most innocent way possible, but your husband is totally adorable! :)

  15. Looks like you had a great time V! The pictures are stunning and you and your husband look awesome! I love the way your hair looks pulled back and the fact that you rock accessories at the beach because I do too! There's nothing wrong with being chic while lounging around!

I am a big fan of Emily Giffin but have yet to read Love the One You're With. I almost purchased it last weekend but chose Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster. Have you read anything by her? She has great sarcastic wit and it was a fun read. Are you a big reader? Would you ever considering adding book reviews to your blog?

  18. Looks like you had a great time, you look great! By the way, I LOVE your pink and white polka dot bathing suit! Do you mind sharing where you purchased it?

  19. Jennifer- yes I could definitely do some book reviews :)

Andi- I kind of use Tiffany D's method- she has a video about it on YouTube.

Prettyface- a lot of people stop me onthe street and tell me I look like Sandra Bullock...maybe that's who you are thinking of!

Lulu- it's more of a coral and white color...it's from VS :)

  20. Hi Veronika! I don't have a blog so this is being posted as "anonymous", but Im not a creep I swear haha. I always follow your blog & love your beauty tips!

I just have one question I'm hoping you could answer... what kind of camera do you own?? Your beach photos are so crisp and perfect, and you can see the blueness of the sky/water! When I went on vacation, my digital camera captured the sky as slightly grey looking, even though it was bright blue at the time! I'm so jealous and need to know so that I can get a better camera for my next trip!!!

Also, your bathing suits are SUPER cute, especially the polka dots one! I might order it now :) Thanks!

  22. Thank you so much for posting this! I'm 99% sure I have the same wedding dress as the bride (Pronovias Diamante?). I bought the dress right after getting engaged in July in a fit of wedding fever, and haven't even so much as set a date since. Needless to say I was feeling anxious about having bought the dress so far out and starting to have some doubts. Seeing it look absolutely stunning on someone else helps so much! Still loving your blog!
